Well, this question strike me when i am out for drink with friends.
Busy with planning my assignment? My brain kept spinning for doing a video assignment planning the shot, how to stand out with my work.
Maybe i should just shoot a simple video get a pass.
Busy with setting a system for small business.
Busy to improve my sense and skill in design.
All this not look like a hard work to people, they need to see physical work, that's what they call busy and productive.
hehe.
i just have too many thought.
maybe i should just copy nike tag line.
JUST DO IT DAMN IT!!!

3D - Recreation with Art & Science
I've once taught to use 3D software, it is not easy, it's a combination of art and science.
Modeling a 3D object require some sense of beauty or what i call here sense of art, while animate the 3D require knowledge of science, for example gravity acceleration, material reflection index, etc.
In Malaysia.
I've found quite a number of 3D artist that i know is not a science person or a technical person, they are good in art and modeling 3D but not on the science of 3D.
I've stumbled this video from the net,
http://www.popsci.com/scitech/article/2009-06/real-or-digital-water-its-getting-harder-tell-difference
This video was feature in siggraph08.
To share with you, this is one of my most visit site http://fxguide.com/, a website about visual effects that you seen on the cinema, how they make it, the technology behind.
I'm not really sure how far 3D industry can go in Malaysia, we need developer, we need creative technologist, we need people that can write script for the 3D software.
Not bunch of human that try to imitate Pixar, making feature length 3D animation movie but not with knowledge of the technical.
If i could get grant from the MSC or MDEC i would run a company that just like pixar, with modeling artist, animator, and Renderman R&D team(sort of).
Well, let's see what i can do about it.
